About Cadets and GEMs

North Shore Cadets & GEMS is a club with craft and scouting activities for boys and girls aged 8 – 15, held at the church every Thursday night during the school term from 6:30 – 8:15pm.

It is a place where children can learn practical skills; some of the badges the children have earned are Hiking, Woodwork, Simple Machines, Knots, GPS, First Aid, Baking, Community Work, and more!

Cadets & GEMS is run with a Christian worldview, teaching children solid Christian values and group work – plus the opportunity for fun, games and friendship. The meetings consist of line-up, group sports/games, and Bible study followed by crafts or badge work, and are loads of fun!
